Which report is right for me?
That's entirely up to you! See below for our recommended report types by need:
Vehicle History Report + Lien Check:
Our most detailed vehicle history report. It includes accident or damage history, as well as registration and branding details from Canada (excluding Northwest Territories) and the U.S., a stolen vehicle check and other available records as well as guaranteed Canadian lien search.
For more information about what a lien is, and why it's important to know if there is a lien registered against the car you're purchasing, please see: What is a lien?
Recommended for vehicles being sold or purchased through a private sale.
Vehicle History Report + Lien Check (BC):
This report includes all the same information as a Vehicle History Report + Lien Check but also includs all available damage, estimate and insurance information from ICBC - BC's public insurance company. For more information, please see: What is a lien? and/or What does “Add ICBC Check” mean?
Recommended for vehicles with prior and/or current BC registration history being sold or purchased through a private sale.
Vehicle History Report:
This report does not offer lien information, but does include accident or damage history, as well as registration and branding details from Canada (excluding Northwest Territories) and the U.S., a stolen vehicle check and other available records.
Recommended for vehicles being purchased from, or sold to, a licensed vehicle retailer, or when you already have the lien information
Vehicle History Report (BC):

Recommended for vehicles with current and/or prior BC registration history being purchased from, or sold to, a licensed vehicle retailer, or when you already have the lien information
3 Vehicle History Reports + 1 Lien Check
Great when you are shopping for a used vehicle privately. With the ability to run reports on multiple VINs, you can compare various aspects of the vehicles and make an informed decision. We suggest that you apply the one included lien check to the vehicle that you intend to purchase.
When purchasing/redeeming a report for a vehicle with BC registration (past or present), we recommend that you include the "Add ICBC Check" option to ensure your report contains any known damage, estimate and/or insurance records ICBC may contain on the vehicle. For 3 Vehicle History Reports + 1 Lien Check orders, an Add ICBC Check would be required for each VIN that is identified to have current and/or prior BC registration history.
